Review: According to intoxicologist.com, this particular rose can be described as “gently sweet, yet loaded with fresh watermelon flavor. Sweet cherry and red berry flavors burst onto the tongue. Light citrus rounds out the flavor. Teeny tiny bubbles play over the tongue even though this is not a bubbly varietal. Strawberry is very apparent with the tiniest hint of light floral. The finish is light and crisp with medium to light body” (https://intoxicologist.net/2017/09/barefoot-rose-wine-review/)
Wine Folly: Wine Folly describes rose as having flavors of strawberry, honeydew melon, rose petal, citrus zest, and rhubarb. I definitely got the strawberry, citrus, melon out of this wine, for sure. Roses are generally served around 38-45 degrees Fahrenheit, which is what I had mine at, slightly chilled in the fridge. (https://winefolly.com/wines/provence-rose/)
Personal Review: I just recently had a birthday, so prepare for the influx of Barefoot wine reviews, as I was given these as gifts. I love a rose and this one was fairly decent. I’ve definitely had better, but I enjoyed the light, fruity, juicy, watermelon-y notes of this wine. I tasted raspberry and a little green apple crispness in this particular wine. Overall, it tasted like watermelon juice, which I’ve been getting from a lot of roses that I’ve tried.
